2020 has not had the best of beginnings. From colossal wildfires sweeping our nation, to foreign political unrest and potentialities of war, we now see the outbreak of COVID-19 spreading across the globe, putting millions in isolation, thousands in critical care, as well as many whose lives have already been taken.

We must come together to forge solutions for those whose lives have been massively affected due to the incredibly infectious virus. This is a team effort, and everyone on the Earth plays an important role - that includes you.

With so many of us already in isolation, Hack The Crisis aims to be a launchpad for those with budding ideas on how to make life in quarantine more manageable. In this ever-connected world, the range of solutions and opportunities are endless. We just need to work together to make it happen.

Hack The Crisis is a completely online Hackathon where participants can form teams to develop technological solutions. This event’s topic is to help improve the quality of life while in isolation.

On 3 April, participants will be encouraged to form teams through Hack The Crisis' main Slack workspace to decide on an idea by a deadline, after which work begins. Entries must be submitted by 5 April via Devpost for judging.

Please join our Slack as this is where most of our announcements and team forming will take place! We will have mentors and judges active throughout the hackathon to provide feedback through registered channels!
